After I had a stroke, our children bought the place and moved us in before we’d even seen it! I was very happy where I was and originally didn’t feel it was going to be great, but we’ve been very happy.

You can be very private if you want. Or mix with the mob. We like to do our own thing and live our own lives here. Staff are so helpful. So polite and friendly and happy. It’s a fantastic situation.

This is an excellent place to call home and my friends who come to stay are most impressed. Everything you need is here and it’s very stimulating, with wonderful people: doctors and professors, teachers, people who can play the piano, a trained librarian. And the staff are exceptionally gracious and caring. It’s nice to be greeted by smiles whenever you see them. “There are shops and medical facilities and at least three good restaurants nearby. And, if I want to go to the theatre, or into the city, it’s literally a twelve-minute drive.

My wife and I settled here eight years ago and security was uppermost in our thinking. The whole set up, with the gate control and the panic button really reassured us and we haven’t had a moment’s trouble. Since she passed away, I’ve had to learn to live on my own but my family is happy that I’m here and, I must say, I’ve never felt I’d rather be anywhere other than here. There are lots of activities and super people to interact with. The staff are always keen to try and meet whatever need you have. I’m very content.
